Description
Peonies are perennial flowering plants belonging to the genus Paeonia. They are famous for their large, layered petals and sweet fragrance, making them one of the most loved ornamental flowers worldwide. Peonies typically bloom during late spring to early summer, and their flowers can grow quite large, sometimes reaching 6–10 inches in diameter.
These flowers grow on lush green shrubs and can live for many decades, often blooming more beautifully each year once established. Peonies are available in a variety of colors including soft pink, deep red, pure white, coral, and yellow. They are widely used in floral arrangements, gardens, and especially weddings, where they symbolize romance, prosperity, and good fortune.
Peonies prefer cool climates, well-drained soil, and plenty of sunlight. Because of their stunning appearance and pleasant scent, they are considered one of the most luxurious and classic flowers in the world.
